Dear FEPTO Colleagues,
It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in our forthcoming FEPTO RC Meeting from 4 th -7 th of October 2018 at the University of Leipzig. If you want to participate, please register and book your travel as early as possible. Since in this period Germans have their national holiday, many people are travelling.
Psychodrama has a long tradition and it is well based on experiences and case studies of many practitioners. However, these experiences and case studies which describe the successes and “magic moments” of psychodrama need to be complemented by ongoing research in order to improve the scientific base for our profession. Therefore, in our forthcoming Research Committee Meeting, we will be addressing the following theme:

Scientific reasoning in psychodrama training and practice
The goal of this meeting is to support scientific work and research activities in psychodrama on different levels. As a community of learners in research we want to propose a better integration of scientific work and research in our psychodrama training curricula and to support training of trainers in scientific writing and research.
In our research committee Meeting we also want to deepen our research cooperation and networks by working on research designs, research tools, processes and results in applied psychodrama research. In our meeting there will be time for presenting and discussing research projects, creating research ideas and sharing research experiences. And finally, we want to think about publishing our studies in order to share it with our psychodrama community and beyond.

Thursday, 4th of October: 16:30 (registration) 17:00 – 19:30
Friday, 5th of October: 9:00 – 17:00
Saturday, 6th of October: 9:00 – 17:00
Sunday, 7st of October: 9:00 – 13:00
Participation:
Researchers and practitioners, students/ trainees and trainers in psychodrama and everybody who is interested in psychodrama research is invited to join our network. Please feel free to forward this email to colleagues and trainees who might be interested to participate. Master or doctoral students are also very welcomed to join us.

The Research Committee Meeting is supported by FEPTO, therefore no participation fee is required. Costs for guided tours or participation in an excursion, lunch, dinner etc. are covered by the participants themselves.
Call for papers/ contributions: deadline for submission 10th of August 2018:
If you want to contribute with a presentation of a project/ paper or a proposal for a new project, please send a short abstract (title/ introduction/ goal or research question/ methods/ findings…). As a format you can choose brief paper presentation/ brief project or poster presentation (5-10 minutes), lectures (15-20 minutes) and structured discussions and/or research workshops (90 minutes). If you have any additional proposals for the programme, let me know.

Venue:
We`ll meet in the University of Leipzig, which is located in the city centre, a ten minutes-walk from the train station (Hauptbahnhof). The exact location (building, room number) and a map we will be sending soon.
Accommodation recommended by the LOC:
Hotels:: as we meet directly in the centre of the city, there are lots of hotels available inside the centre-circle. please book as soon as possible; October 3rd is a holiday in Germany, so many people use this week for trips and the hotels will be booked out. The following hotels are very close to university (about 5 min walk):

Travelling information:
Airplane: Airport Leipzig-Halle (half an hour by train – S-Bahn – to the city) or
Airport Berlin -Schönefeld or Berlin- Tegel (S-Bahn to “Südkreuz”, then by train to Leipzig 75 min)
Railway: to Leipzig Hauptbahnhof
Arrival by Car: Leipzig is 180 km south of Berlin; if you come by car and don`t want to use a parking garage in the city and pay for it (about 10 to15€ per day), please contact Anett richter-nowak@pdi-leipzig.de so I will help you to find a parking place close to our psychodrama-institute for free (tram to the city 10 min)
Social events and guided walk:
on Friday and Saturday Evening we`ll organize a guided walk through the city and a playback theatre;
for Sunday well prepare a list of recommendations for “sightseeing” and activities (at 11 a.m. theres a concert in Mendelssohn-Haus; a trip by boat through the city is possible and so on)
Meals:
We`ll have Lunch on Friday and Saturday in the “Moritzbastei”; five min. walk from University; they offer a range of salads, soups, meat, vegetarian and vegan food for small money (max. 6 €).
In the evenings we make reservations in the famous “Auerbachs Keller” (main courses 15-28€) and other nice places.
